Interior CS Kithure Kindiki takes a walk in city, says crime has reduced

Kindiki said the government would not negotiate with criminals terming those engaging in crime as enemies of Kenyans.

He however expressed satisfaction that crime rate had reduced in the past week since an overhaul of the security command in the city.

In the wake of spiralling crime perpetuated by armed criminals riding on motorcycles, Baringo County police commander Adamson Bungei was brought in to help contain the situation.

During the Monday tour, Kithure was accompanied by among others Bungei, Nairobi Region Commissioner Flora Mworoa, Central Sub County Police Commander Raphael Kimeu among other members of the Nairobi security team.

While mingling with traders, boda boda and matatu operators, Kindiki walked from his Harambee House office through Moi Avenue to Nairobi bus station before ending at Muthurwa market.
