The transition committee charged with the handover of power yesterday held its second meeting ahead of President-elect William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua's swearing-in next week.

Plans to formally install Kenya's fifth president began in earnest with the transition committee convening after a two-week hiatus occasioned by the presidential election petition at the Supreme Court.
