Raila, Ruto votes in the 6 constituencies announced by Chebukati

In the six constituencies whose results have been declared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), William Ruto of UDA is in the lead with 101,224.

His main rival, Raila Odinga, has 93,311 votes.

The constituencies, whose results have formally been announced by IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati, are Webuye East (Bungoma County), Baringo Central (Baringo County), Ol Jorok (Nyandarua County), Kathiani (Machakos County), Kangundo (Machakos County) and Lamu East (Lamu County).

In Webuye East, Ruto had 16,412 votes; Baringo Central (33,162), Ol Jorok (31,982), Kathiani (6,624), Kangundo (8,405) and Lamu East (4,639). The deputy president's tallied votes thus far total 101,224.

Raila Odinga, on the other hand, had 13,720 votes in Webuye East; Baringo Central (1,656), Ol Jorok (7,579), Kathiani (30,984), Kangundo (29,808) and Lamu East (9,564).

The Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya candidate's total votes from the six constituencies is 93,311.

From the six constituencies, the other two presidential candidates - George Wajackoyah and David Mwaure - had a total of 1,113 votes and 989 votes respectively.

Wajackoyah's vote-breakdown is as follows: Baringo Central (62), Kathiani (91), Kangundo (93), Ol Jorok (166), Lamu East (452) and Webuye East (249).

Mwaure's: Baringo Central (26), Kathiani (300), Kangundo (365), Ol Jorok (140), Lamu East (48) and Webuye East (110).

Kangundo and Kathiani constituencies, both in Machakos County, had a total of 121,020 registered voters. Only 77,260 votes (63.8 per cent) were cast, with 590 votes rejected.

Baringo Central Constituency in Baringo County had 45,949 registered voters. From these, 35,074 people (76.3 per cent) turned up to vote. There were 168 rejected votes.

Ol Jorok Constituency in Nyandarua County had 60,199 registered voters. A total of 40,163 votes were cast (66.7 per cent). Out of these, 296 votes were rejected.

Lamu East Constituency in Lamu County had 22,047 registered voters. The number of votes cast was 15,139 (68.7 per cent), with 436 declared rejected.

Webuye East Constituency in Bungoma County had registered 48,950 voters. The number of votes cast was 30,491 (62.3 per cent), with 384 ruled as rejected.
