Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Paul Ongili has hit out at the Jubilee Party two days to the repeat presidential election.

Mr Ongili also popularly known as Babu Owino, pointed out that Jubilee envoys must keep off Kenya’s poll.

Ongili claimed that the envoys are under the Government’s payroll to interfere with the Kenyan electoral process.

The controversial legislator also reiterated that the National Super Alliance (NASA) will resume anti-IEBC protests to ensure reforms are effected in the electoral body.

“We maintain that envoys on Jubilee government's payroll must keep off Kenya's election. We will resume our Nationwide anti IEBC demos tomorrow to agitate for permanent reforms in our electoral system,” stressed Owino.

The US insists that Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka should not have withdrawn from the fresh poll.

Its Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec on Monday said Raila won in a big way when the Supreme Court of Kenya nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta's win in the August 8 election and ought to have allowed his supporters to participate in the repeat poll on 26th.

"The Supreme Court discovered a number of irregularities and illegalities in delivering the historic verdict. I think IEBC has met a number of demands to allow NASA participate in the repeat polls. But it's their right to participate or not to, however we call for peaceful boycott on Thursday," he said.

Godec said it is only the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission that can decide whether the Thursday poll will be credible and conducted according to the law as specified by Supreme Court.
