Diego Costa isn't interested in moving to China just yet

Diego Costa has no interest in leaving Chelsea to move to China, according to reports.

Spanish striker Costa has been dropped for the Premier League leaders' trip to Leicester in Saturday's late game after a row with one of his coaching staff, Julio Tous.

And Chelsea fear the hot-headed striker's head has been turned by the opportunity to earn huge sums of money in the Chinese Super League.

Chelsea are aware that at least two clubs in China have made huge offers to Costa’s representatives in a bid to lure him away from the Premier League.

He has not trained with the main squad for nearly a week following the bust-up which has thrown his Stamford Bridge future into doubt.

And his agent Jorge Mendes has been pictured with the president of Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian.

However, Brazilian ESPN journalist Joao Castelo-Branco, who works in London, claims to have the inside track on Costa's situation and says he is not interested in a move to China at this stage of his career.

He wrote on Twitter: "Exclusive: Costa said he has no interest in China at the moment."

The 28-year-old is the Premier League’s top scorer so far with 14 goals and manager Antonio Conte's man-management has been praised for getting the best out of the player.

But the relationship has fallen apart after Costa's representatives told their player of the incredible offer from China - believed to be worth an astonishing £570,000-a-week - and he argued with coach Tous.

The league leaders are five points clear at the top but their 13-match winning streak was ended by Spurs last week.

Conte could now revert to using Eden Hazard in the centre-forward position as he did in Chelsea’s impressive 3-0 win over Bournemouth last month.
