Man kills brother-in-law in marital dispute

A boy was killed by his brother-in-law for allegedly colluding with his mother to hide his sister.

The 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach with a knife by his brother-in-law and died at Homa Bay County Hospital while undergoing treatment. His mother, Esther Omondi, who was also stabbed during the attack at Rodi Kopany township in Homa Bay last Friday, is in critical condition and undergoing treatment in the same hospital. Witnesses said the suspect, who lives at Sero village, reportedly quarreled with his wife on Thursday, after which he beat her, prompting her to run away.
