A man from Tharaka Nithi is not happy that his plan to reward President Uhuru Kenyatta with a bull was turned down.

Duncan Mutiria, 40, told The Nairobian that he had planned to trek from his Nkondi village in Tharaka South to Nairobi, which is about 500 kilometres just to deliver his only remaining bull to the president.

However, when he walked to his area provincial administrators offices, he was told to write an appointment letter to State House.

This, he was, told, would take time or might just be a pipe dream.

“I am not giving up on rewarding the President for the good job he has done. I have two daughters and they will go to school free of charge courtesy of the Jubilee government,” he said, adding, “Uhuru can come for it or he can send his representatives to come for it.”

Mutiria lauded the Jubilee government for tarmacking roads in Tharaka Nithi County.

“We have been marginalised by former regimes but Uhuru Kenyatta’s government has been good to Tharaka people,” he said.
