Two months after their engagement, celebrity gospel couple Lucy Natasha and Stanley Carmel have made their relationship official.

On Saturday, the two love birds held a colourful traditional wedding ceremony in Nairobi. The event was attended by their families and friends.

Even though details of the function remain scanty, with the media having been locked out of the event, Ms Natasha let the cat out of the bag through her Instagram posts.

In her posts, she announced the progress towards her church wedding.

“Early today leaving for our traditional wedding…Such a great joy seeing our families cementing the lovely bonds we share,” Natasha captioned one of the photos on her Instagram page on Saturday evening.

The caption accompanied a photo of she and her fiancé all smiles.

They wore white clothes with a touch of gold. Natasha completed her look with matching jewellery, while Carmen carried a walking stick with a golden handle and tip.

Guests were mostly in black with a touch of African-inspired Ankara prints.

“Dancing moments in our traditional wedding. May God give you a reason to celebrate this year. I have found the one who my soul loves,” Natasha wrote.

The flamboyant Nairobi city preacher and her fiancé Carmel have been in the news since they got engaged at the Boma Hotel, Nairobi, in an invite-only ceremony.

Natasha, the founder of Empowerment Christian Church, broke the news of her engagement on Instagram, posting photos of the event and giving snippets that were shared widely.

Mr Carmel, who is believed to have courted Natasha for over a year, was dressed in traditional white Indian attire paired with red shoes when he got down on one knee to ask for Natasha’s hand in marriage.

“My Love Carmel, may the rest of our lives be filled with God’s grace, blessings, provisions, protection and guidance,” Natasha captioned the photos.

Since then, the two have been ministering together to their followers at the Nairobi church.
