Former State House Comptroller Abraham Kiptanui was yesterday eulogised as a generous and diligent civil servant who heavily invested in education sector.
Kiptanui who died on April 4, was laid to rest yesterday at his Kipkabus home in Uasin Gishu County.
President Uhuru Kenyatta eulogised Kiptanui as one who believed in hard work and diligence, a reason he rose through the ranks in a sensitive docket.
"Kiptanui was diligent and dedicated. He was an example to many and never got tired sharing what he had," President Uhuru said in a statement.

Deputy President William Ruto, in a statement, eulogised Kiptanui as a focused leader whose generosity will be remembered.
Baringo Senator Gideon Moi said Kiptanui was a selfless and humble person who lived a dignified life.
"The life you live will be manifested the day you will close your eyes. This man lived a dignified life and brought up his children in a dignified manner," Gideon added.

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago said Kiptanui's selflessness remained unmatched through his contribution in building schools in the region.
Dr Sally Kosgey remembered Kiptanui as a mentor who was always focused and concerned about growth.
Transport and Infrastructure Permanent Secretary Esther Koimet said the nation had not only lost a national leader but also a visionary one.
"Kiptanui was always available to offer advice whenever. He conducted his duties so well and was a treasure in late President Moi's administration," said former Central Bank Governor Micah Cheserem.
Mary Kiptanui, wife of the late Kiptanui, recalled how Christian beliefs brought them together in early years.

Through the same beliefs, she said, their marriage grew stronger with time.
"I feel that God had ordained him. He was very religious and I urge people to teach their children to be godly," Mrs Kiptanui.
