NAIROBI, KENYA: The legal instrument appointing Deputy President William Ruto Acting President expired Wednesday evening at 6pm, consequently Uhuru Kenyatta assumed his full constitutional authority as the President.
According to Statehouse Spokesman Manoah Esipisu, President Uhuru immediately “resumed substantive duties after attending the ICC Status Conference as a private citizen”.
