
Celebrated media personality Leonard Mambo Mbotela is dead.
The broadcaster had been ailing and is reported to have passed on some minutes after 9.30 am, February 7.
Anne Mbotela, his daughter-in-law confirmed to the press about the veteran broadcaster’s death.
Mbotela is famed for his 'Je Huu Ni Ungwana' show which was popular on the national broadcaster Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) Radio and TV.
"It is true my father-in-law has passed on," Anne confirmed.
The veteran broadcaster leaves behind his wife Alice Mwikali whom they shared three children George, Aida and Jimmy Mbotela.
