Manchester United supporters have been led in several directions during this summer’s transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made no bones about wanting to add genuine quality throughout his squad, but just one first-team signing is all the club have to show for their efforts so far.

Donny van de Beek’s arrival from Ajax will give the United boss several options in the middle of the park, with Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic seemingly the first-choice trio at this moment in time.

Elsewhere, rumoured big-money moves for other high-profile stars have yet to come to fruition and the club’s hierarchy will be hoping to change that as soon as possible.

The Red Devils have been tipped as the most likely contender to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League next term, but Chelsea ’s expansive recruitment could force United into stronger transfer activity before the end of the transfer window next month.

Here is the latest transfer news involving Manchester United.

Dortmund and United come to Sancho agreement

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly come to an agreement with Manchester United over negotiations for Jadon Sancho.

According to Bleacher Report, the two clubs have agreed to adopt a ‘respectful manner’ in talks after months of speculation over the 20-year-old’s future.

The report goes on to state that United were aggrieved by the level of detail being leaked to the public during initial stages of discussions.

While no deal for Sancho has been agreed as of yet, it is understood that the Premier League club could be reaching a more feasible stage of negotiations.

Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon this summer.

That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, as cited by TeamTalk, who claims the La Liga champions have given the Red Devils an opportunity to sign the £18million-rated left-back.

It is reported that Real are open to selling Reguilon as a means of generating transfer funds to sign targets of their own.

Given his impressive loan spell at Europa League winners Sevilla last season, the former Spain Under-21 international could be a viable option for the Red Devils in this window.

Premier League clubs on ‘red alert’ over Griezmann availability

Several Premier League clubs, including United, have been put on red alert over the availability of Antoine Griezmann in this transfer window.

Reports claim the France international could be set for an exit from Barcelona before the October transfer deadline after Lionel Messi confirmed he is staying at the Camp Nou.

The World Cup winner has previously been linked with a move to Old Trafford among other Premier League sides.

While it is not yet known how much it would cost to sign the forward, Ronald Koeman’s desire to overhaul the Barcelona squad could see Griezmann sacrificed for the right offer.
