Gabriel takes to Social Media to thank God after FA's decision to overturn his red card

Gabriel is off the hook after being sent off for his spat with Chelsea's Diego Costa.

The Brazilian defender was given his marching orders just before half-time of Arsenal's game at Stamford Bridge at the weekend.

He was due to serve a three-match ban for his actions, after Mike Dean alleged him to have performed an act of violent conduct on the controversial striker.

But the first charge has been overturned following an FA appeal - while Gabriel has still been charged for his actions following the decision.

Gabriel, who could play against Spur in tonight's Capital One Cup tie, took to Instagram to celebrate Football Association's decision to rescind his red card against Chelsea

He said: "God is always fair. I want to thank @arsenal for all they have done for me!

Costa himself has also been hit with a violent conduct charge, while both clubs have been charged with failure to control their players.
