Mombasa County Football Association (MCFA) Chairman Goshi Juma Alliy has welcomed government’s protocols that will be used to allow the resumption of sporting activities in Kenya.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed on Monday released guidelines for the resumption of sports events saying that the process will be rolled out in two weeks and gave federations seven days to review the protocols then give suggestions on the draft.

‘’We have read and understood them very well and we intend to comply so that Football activities can resume for the betterment of our youths and society at large, because Sports is vital for cohesion and fighting all vices in our communities, ’’ Alliy said in a press statement.

He further made a humble request to the County Government of Mombasa to patronage all the protocols because they are costly to young organisations at County level.

‘’We will work out on what we can archive as per the guidelines. We appeal to Honourable Governor Hassan Ali Joho and the Department of Youth Gender and Sports to be on the forefront financially and socially so that our County can be vibrant again in football activities,‘’ he added

‘’As an organization we will make a courtesy call to Chief Officer of Sports very soon for discussion and implementation of the guidelines. ‘’
