Jose Mourinho insists he wouldn't leave Tottenham for any club in the world

Jose Mourinho claims he has got the best job in the world after just a week in charge at Tottenham.

Mourinho has already overseen the club’s first Premier League away win in 10 months, got them into the Champions League knockout stages and looks thoroughly refreshed ahead of today’s home clash with Bournemouth.

Tottenham could easily have been seen as a stop-gap for Mourinho as no other big jobs were available but the ex-Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea boss insists that he wouldn’t swap it for anything else.

Mourinho said: “I’m so happy here that I couldn’t even think about the possibility to go to another place. You can put now in front of me any club in the world, I would not move.

“The facilities in this one are the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve been in big clubs. It’s not like I arrive here from small clubs and think: ‘Wow.’

“I’ve been in big, big clubs with very good conditions. Chelsea, very good conditions, United the same, Madrid, the same, Inter the same.

“It’s not like I’ve been in bad conditions but here it’s fantastic. The stadium is brand new and is the best stadium in the world.

“You know how much I like the Premier League, that’s the first point. You go back to Porto, my first opportunity to leave my country I had lots of options. It was England.

“I was in Real Madrid, probably the dream club for the majority of us. I left Real Madrid to come to the Premier League.

"Now, I stayed in the Premier League which I always say is my natural habitat. So many years I like it a lot. So that is a point.

“The second point is this club. You know what the club is showing me.

"The vision they have for the future and everything they are as a club in terms of structure organisation, feelings, a big club but with a concept of a family, working together with people.”

Mourinho is also backing teenager Ryan Sessegnon - who will be a part of the squad with Ben Davies out injured - to fulfil his huge potential after trying to sign him in three consecutive windows while at United and even compared him to former Arsenal and Chelsea star Ashley Cole.

Despite having a reputation of not playing young players, Mourinho added: “I think Ryan is absolutely fantastic, I have known him since a kid in Fulham.

"When he comes to the first team in the Premier League it is different to the Championship.

“I think in this moment he is a winger on the left, can also play on the right, can learn progressively and even develop physically, which he is doing.

"Even from the last time I saw him and the first time I met him when I came here he is already different physically.

“I think Ryan can play as a left-back. probably the left-back in the last decade was Ashley Cole, in spite of him being from two enemy clubs, but he was fantastic.

“But Ryan has lots of similarities with Ashley, and he can learn how to defend.”
