Reports in Mahrez’s homeland Algeria: Leicester winger agrees to join Arsenal

Riyad Mahrez has reportedly agreed to join Arsenal from Premier League champions Leicester City.

Reports in the player's native Algeria, cited by the Daily Star, say a deal has been reached between Arsenal and Mahrez for the PFA Player of the Year to move to the Emirates.

Mahrez is said to have made his mind up after speaking with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger during a face-to-face meeting.

While Arsenal and Mahrez are keen for the deal to go through, Leicester are yet to agree to the sale of their star player, and are reportedly prepared to offer him £100,000-a-week to stay at the club.

Mahrez has three years remaining on his current Leicester contract, putting the Foxes in a strong position in any negotiations.
