Premier League promoted side Hull City will begin their 2016-17 season campaign without the services of their boss Steve Bruce.
Bruce, who was last week interviewed by the England FA as a potential Roy Hodgson successor, has resigned as Hull manager after complaining of the embarrassing loss of Nick Powell race to Wigan.
According to BBC sports, the 55 year-old now considers to return to former club Sunderland if Sam Allardyce contract with the FA is completed.
He took charge of Hull City in 2012 and led them to the top-flight league after Championship play-off final victory over Sheffield Wednesday in May this year.
