Do Arsenal have the 'balls' to win at Tottenham on Saturday? Paul Scholes doubts

The Manchester United legend was pulling no punches when asked how he thought the north London derby would go

Paul Scholes has given a withering assessment of Arsenal's title chances ahead of their trip to Tottenham on Saturday.

The Gunners have lost two games in a row after they followed up defeat at Manchester United on Sunday with a home loss against Swansea on Wednesday evening.

Joel Campbell had given Arsene Wenger's side the lead, but goals from Wayne Routledge and Ashley Williams means Arsenal are now six points behind leaders Leicester going into the weekend.

Tottenham can go top with victory in the early kick-off despite losing at West Ham on Wednesday, sitting three points off the pace.

Scholes was speaking on BT Sport's coverage of Liverpool's win over Manchester City, and said he doubted whether the Gunners had the 'balls' to go to their most fierce rivals and win.

“They [Spurs] can virtually put Arsenal away with a win," Scholes said.

“The question about Arsenal is – have Arsenal got the bottle to go there and win a game after the two results they’ve just had?

“I doubt whether they’ve got the bottle or the balls to go on and do it.”
