Football lovers in Nairobi's Eastlands have a reason to smile after Makadara Member of Parliament Benson Mutura initiated the construction of an artificial turf at the Camp Toyoyo Grounds in Jericho.
With the area known for producing some of the best players in the country including the likes of former Harambee Stars captain and current assistant coach Musa Otieno, former national team head coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee, George Waweru, Kepha Taso, Eric 'Cantona' Omondi, Chrispin Olando and Brain Mandela just to name a few, the new facility is expected to greatly boost the development of football in Kenya.
