Bramble cocktail gets its name from the bramble bush, the plant that grows blackberries. The drink was created in 1984 by bartender Dick Bradsell while working at Fred's Club in Soho, London. He was inspired by his childhood memories of picking blackberries and wanted to make a simple, flavourful cocktail.
