The pregnancy journey is usually anything but easy. Some moms-to-be are blessed with smooth pregnancies but for others, it’s filled with many hurdles. The focus during that season is to maintain good health physically, mentally and emotionally for your sake and for the baby’s sake as well.

One of the most effective ways to keep things on track is through bonding with your unborn baby.

You might not realize the amazing benefits that come with the different bonding exercises. It actually connects all those aspects of a healthy pregnancy both physically and emotionally.

Here are some of the techniques you can start practicing today.

1.Talk to your baby

No one will judge you for talking to your baby bump. It looks a little odd sometimes but people recognize that it’s completely normal to do so. The power of words is immeasurable. It’s important to speak kind words that are full of blessings and positivity to your baby.

This simple exercise calms both of you down and it is also widely believed that babies can sense the kind words too.

2.Write letters to them

It will take a while for them to be able to read but that shouldn’t stop you. This is a special way for you to write down your feelings and special messages you’d want them to know in future.

Writing is also a therapeutic way of releasing stress to combat depression and anxiety.

3.Buy them small gifts

This goes beyond prepping for the baby. You definitely need to be shopping for diapers, feeding bottles and clothes for them before the due date but, buying them sweet gifts is also a way of showing them you love them even before meeting them.

Have fun shopping for cute teddy bears and other adorable toys that they will play with when they’re older. You can also create a sentimental photo journal for them.

4.Sing for them

Singing also reduces the stress which is very beneficial for you both. Depressive thoughts will be suppressed which also reduces the health risks for your baby.

It really doesn’t matter if you’re not the most talented singer out there. Your baby can hear you and I’m sure they appreciate those special moments.

5.Let them interact with the people you love

Give the most important people in your life a chance to bond with your bump too. Right now, many people are out of town but you can still let them greet your baby over a video call.

This is much better than isolating yourself during your entire pregnancy.

6.Massage your bump

This is a chance for you to feel close to your baby while sneaking in a moisturizing routine for your tummy.

You’ll have a satisfying bonding session with them and have soft moisturized skin thereafter.

7.Respond to their movements

One of the most special moments is seeing your baby move in the womb. Don’t just let those sweet moments pass you by.

Get someone to record those moments but most importantly, respond to their movements to let them know they’re safe and sound.

If you could pick only one person to live with forever who would it be?
