DCI changes: Names of top officers moved in reshuffle

The Director of Criminal Investigations Amin Mohamed has reshuffled top DCI officers.

Nairobi Area DCI chief Said Kiprotich will now be in charge of DCI Operations as the boss.

The Director of Forensics Margaret Karanja has been moved to the Anti-Narcotics Unit as the leader.

John Onyango, who was in charge of the DCI in Nyanza region, has been moved to the headquarters as the Head of Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau.

Francis Wanjau, who was the DCI boss in Kisumu County, has been promoted to the position of Rift Valley Regional DCI boss.

Bethuel Oburu, who was the Marsabit County Criminal Investigations Officer, has been promoted to the position of Central Kenya regional DCI boss.

Abdallah Komesha, the National Centre for Counter-terrorism chief, has been moved to the DCI Headquarters as the Head of Personnel.

The changes take effect immediately, DCI boss Amin Mohamed told The Standard on Tuesday, November 1.
