Our purple ‘Mr Furious’ matatu is no bully on the road

Living

The colour purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury and power.

It also represents wealth, extravagance, pride and mystery.

Well, this is what the new ride in town, Furious, is all about.

Plying the Ruai route, Furious is the latest fascination. The owners told Ma3 Culture that the name has nothing to do with being rowdy or bullies on the road.

“It is true that critics have tried to use the name to undermine our reputation, but that is expected in business.  The name Furious has nothing to do with madness or bullying of passengers,” Ken Mwangi, one of the crew members said. He added that, “Less than a month in business, we have won loyal clients who like our colour choice.”

The bus boasts of cosy leather seats, four woofers, 16 mid-range speakers and a large screen to keep passengers entertained.

“We are ahead of the rest. We are the real deal and nobody can beat us in this game. Sit back, relax and enjoy as Furious  takes you home,” Mwangi added.
