Standard Digital Campus Tour

Standard Digital, KTN, System Unit alongside Microsoft and Indomie continue their popular campus tour this weekend. The tour pitches camp at the University of Eldoret, Kerio Hall tonight and features performances from Size 8, DK Kwenye Beat, Willy Paul, HopeKid, Mr Seed, DJs Mo, Krowbar, Tabz and MC Njugush.

Safaricom Sevens Rugby

The second edition of the Safaricom 7s rugby tournament and showbiz extravaganza goes down at the Safaricom Kasarani Stadium this weekend. The three-day affair sees local and international teams battle it out for various honours with fun lovers indulging in the best of interactive activities, music and activations. Daily charges are Sh500 for the upper deck, Sh1,000 for the lower deck and Sh2,000 for VIP.

Concours d’Elegance at Ngong

The 44th edition of the acclaimed and prestigious spectator motor event in Kenya that is the Concours d’Elegance, goes down at Ngong racecourse this Sunday. The event attracts over 15,000 motor enthusiasts, petrol heads and fun lovers and features a vintage motor beauty pageant with plenty of music, fashion and fun-filled family activities.

It’s an Evening of Afro Jazz

It’s the writer’s edition as music meets language in this month’s edition of the An Evening of Afro Jazz concert series. Headlined by jazz gurus Ricky na Marafiki, Mufasa the Poet and Lele Ngoma as they combine Benga, Afro-Soul and Jazz, the event seeks to celebrate our writers through music. The concert goes down at Alliance Française this Tuesday and charges are Sh400.

Live At The Elephant

The great and fun monthly musical nightlife series that is Live at the Elephant, takes centre stage once again in Lavington tonight. The concert celebrates two of Kenya’s best artistes every month. Now in its eleventh edition, Live at the Elephant celebrates the performances of Kombo and Afro Simba Band and H_art the Band. Plenty of food and drinks are available during the show. Advance charges are Sh800 and Sh1,200 at the gate.

The GoDown Gig

The GoDown Gig at the GoDown Arts Centre continues its trademark platform of promoting and celebrating the local acts tomorrow afternoon. This month’s edition sees live performances from Winyo, Valentine Ziki, Kenge Kenge Orutu, DJ K Rich and emcee Lulu Saidi. Fun lovers also get to enjoy plenty of refreshments and drinks all day long. There is no cover charge.

Electrafrique hosts Sauti Sol

The multi-award winning all boy band Sauti Sol will headline the popular Electrafrique concert series at Tree House Club on Museum Hill tomorrow night. The Bacardi Gold hosted event sees the band performing alongside DJs Cortega, Blinky Bill, Electrique DJs and the Beat Parade Band and MC Coco D Rasta Ngori. So brace yourself for those epic lipala dance moves. Advance charges are Sh700, Sh1,000 at the gate and Sh2,000 for VIP.

Sondeka Launch Party at RFUEA

The pre-hype and launch for next month’s Sondeka Festival, a musical and showbiz extravaganza that celebrates dance, song, robots, applications, film, storytelling, photography, upcycling, fashion and animation among others, goes down at RFUEA Grounds tomorrow afternoon. The event will feature Makadem, Abakisimba and the Santuri Safari DJs. Charges are Sh500.

BOGOF at Hilton Hotel

The popular art and musical concert, the BOGOF party, makes a comeback at Hilton Hotel tomorrow afternoon. The versatile Adelle Onyango, Jemedari, Kiu, Dira the Band and poets Msooh, El Poet and Abigail Arunga are the headline acts. Student charges are Sh500, advance charges are Sh800 and Sh1,000 at the gate.

Swahiblu Affair at Mtwapa

Coast based act Kitole Kenda, he of the Swahiblu fame, hosts the Swahiblu Affair pool party at Bahari Gates in Mtwapa tomorrow. Those expected to grace the event are Kidis, Johnny Skani, Cde, Ordinareh Bingwa, Twenty Two and the Mozambique dance troupe among others. Entry for gents is Sh200 and Sh100 for ladies.

Coke Party in Eldoret

The Coca Cola Studio, a music show that brings artistes together from different regions and genres, continues its tour this weekend. The tour pitches camp in Eldoret and features performances from hip hop star Octopizzo and DJ Joe Mfalme among others.

Platinum Thursday at GSkyye
