Starting immediately, Mosha, popularly known as Seven, will be responsible for building the company’s list of local talent while amplifying its international repertoire across the region.

She will directly report to managing director of Sony Music Africa Sean Watson.

Speaking on her new role, Mosha expressed excitement as she exuded confidence in making a great impact on the local entertainment scene.

“I am very excited about joining Sony Music Africa look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the entertainment industry, not just in East Africa but across the continent,” Mosha said.

Mosha also manages bongo star Ommy Dimpoz who was also recently signed to Sony Music Africa. She has also managed the likes of Lady Jaydee, Ray C, TID, Rose Muhando and Alikiba in her over 15 years’ experience in the local entertainment industry.

Mosha’s appointment was announced by Sony Music Africa MD Sean Watson who showed confidence in her having worked with her on a number of projects before, saying she’s the best bet to help expand the number of artists from the region signed to the label.

“For a number of years, she has already been a key partner to us, providing a unique insight into the nuanced ways of working in East Africa, which is such a strong and vibrant hub for music in the continent. We’re delighted to have her on board, helping expand our East African roster of artists and showcasing our international repertoire to new audiences,” said Watson.
