Four Kenyan women who’ve proven you don’t need a white gown to have a dream wedding

Bridal

Many women dream of a grand, white wedding, puffy Cinderella gown and all.

According to a survey done by Samantha’s Bridal, a Kenyan wedding costs an average of 3.5 million. Some couples even go into debt trying to have a wedding that meets society’s high standards, with the bridal gown taking a big chunk of the budget.

However, some well-to-do women, have shunned this practice and opted for simpler, non-conventional dresses.

From President Kenyatta’s daughter-in-law Fiona Achola to Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Wambui Kamiru Collymore and Wahu Kagwi, these brides prove that you don’t need a Cinderella gown to make your wedding day magical.
