Top beauty hacks every woman should know

Beauty

You don't have to spend hours in front of a mirror to get your makeup perfect. There are all kinds of little tricks you can use that will make applying your makeup much easier and ensure that you always have the look you are going for. Here are my top makeup hacks that will help you avoid beauty mistakes and shorten the amount of time it takes to get ready every morning!

Lighting is everything! What 3 things are you proud of about your personality?? Sometimes the lighting in your room as you apply your makeup is different from natural light, and your foundation might not be as well blended in as you thought it was. Use different types of lighting in your home to check your make-up. Make sure your make-up is looking flawless and natural before leaving the house by checking your face in the mirror using natural light will show you any foundation that needs blending in.

Cover up puffy eyes and dark circles Forget about dotting your concealer. Instead, apply it in a triangle shape, with the base at your lash line and the tip at the top of your cheeks. This will hide any dark circles beneath the eyes, and brighten up your whole face.

Wiggle the mascara brush

You don't need fake eyelashes for a long lash look – the real secret is applying mascara properly. Instead of applying it through a stroke motion, wiggle the brush from left to right across your eyelashes in a zigzag motion, to push the lashes up and make the most of their whole length.

Take lipstick off with petroleum jelly A while ago, I tried on this amazing matte dark red lipstick I loved that lasted forever. The only problem? Taking it off. A tissue alone wasn't helping, and I didn't really want to put makeup remover on my lips. So, I swiped some Petroleum Jelly on my lips, then swiped it off - and all of my lipstick came off with it. It will remove all traces of your lipstick while also leaving your lips feeling soft.
