Ugandan singer Chameleone recently explained to his fans why he supports President Museveni.
The star singer defended his decision by comparing it to his dad who did not want him to marry Daniella Atim because she was from Acholi.
“He wanted me to marry from Buganda. I stood my ground and told my dad that she is the one for me and that was my choice,” Chameleone said.
The Moto Moto singer who has been singing for the last 15 years said that in the Tubonge issue, he is representing himself as Joseph Mayanja and not the fans, who are free to support a candidate of their choice.
“The problems I have are more than the 400 million the president gave to artistes. I’m paying mortgages. I also have a right to do what I want. I know Besigye, I know Amama, but my man is Museveni. When Kiprotich wins a medal, does he hide it under the bed? So, when I show my love for the president, what’s wrong with that?” he posed.
