Businesswoman Vera Sidika is still one of the most sought-after party hosts. Around this time of the year, the socialite’s diary would be fully booked for events and she would often fly out of the country on Valentine’s Day for different reasons.

Fast-forward to 2022, Vera, who is now a mother of one Asia Brown, views life differently.

Speaking to Standard Entertainment, the Veetox founder said motherhood has been a transformational journey that has made her appreciate the little things in life.

“Love is a beautiful thing and I am glad to celebrate this Valentine’s with the loves of my life.

“Asia has had such a positive impact in my life and the passion of parenting, breastfeeding, loving and being loved is just beautiful,” she said.

Vera further said she will be in the company of her husband Brown Mauzo and her mother-in-law at the coast to have some quality family time.

She said Baby Asia loves the coast already and the weather seems to bring out her bubbly side.

“The best thing that has happened to me is motherhood and family. I feel content. Initially, people would judge me saying I cannot breastfeed and that I only cared about myself.

“This is a testimony that something good can come out from whichever path one takes. Society should not judge,” she said.

This is the first Valentine’s Vera will be celebrating as a mother, having given birth on October 20, 2021.

On why she chose to give birth on Mashujaa Day, Vera said she wanted her daughter to celebrate her birthday with family each year since it is a public holiday.

“Since elective CS allows you to select a date within a particular timeframe, I personally chose the date 20th October 2021 so she can be celebrating her birthdays from home with family since it's a public holiday, Mashujaa day and phewx! Curfew got lifted a few hours right after she was born. Such a blessing,” she said.

The popular socialite’s decision to undergo Elective Caesarean delivery does not come as a surprise to many as she had earlier informed her fans of her plans for a painless birth experience.
