Popular city preacher and motivational speaker, Robert Burale, has come out to share details of his private life. Speaking at an interview with Kalondu Musyimi, the 45-year-old revealed that he has been celibate since his marriage ended in 2013.

According to Burale, he has not been sexually active for the past 9 years.

“I have been celibate since 2013. Na mimi ni Mluhya,” he said. However, Burale believes that sex is very important in a marriage setting, adding that he desires to one day enter the institution of marriage.

“Sex is very important in marriage even for us the born again believers. You win in the boardroom and in the bedroom. You gonna enjoy the bedroom as well…sex is important in marriage; I’m not saying it’s the beginning and the end but it’s an important factor in marriage,” he added.

Asked whether he will ever re-marry, the father of one disclosed that he does not have the grace to remain single for the rest of his life.

“I desire marriage, I do not have the grace to be single. I know it will happen,” he shared.

Speaking about the qualities that would be non-negotiable when it comes to selecting his life partner, Burale shared that one has to marry their best friend in order to overcome the challenges life throws at them. According to him, marriage cannot be founded on just looks and sex.

“The kind of a woman I am looking for is a woman who understands herself in God. Just that. A beautiful woman of course but beauty fades. But the identity, which is an inside job, is what should be the most important thing,” he added.

Advising single people who just like him, desire to get married at some point, Burale insisted on finding the right partner as the key to a successful and happy union.

“Marry your best friend. You won’t feel like you love each other every day. Marry your friend that you can laugh every day, you can cook together and be silly together,” he advised.

Speaking to Eve Woman magazine in 2020 on what led to his fallout with his ex-wife Rozinah Mwakideu, Burale said that communication breakdown and not spending enough time together played a part in the couple parting ways.

“I wish I had communicated better with her, listened to her. I also wish I spent more time with her. It’s not that I was travelling or working a lot, but sometimes you can be in the same room as someone else but you are not really spending time together,” he said.
