Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz is set to open his popular Tanzanian label, Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) in Nairobi sometime this year.
According to a source close to the award-winning artiste, “the recording label will cater for Kenyan artistes and by the end of the year, we will have Wasafi Records Kenya branch in Nairobi.”
Currently, the recording label is home to top artistes including Rayvanny, Harmonize, Maromboso, Queen Darling, Lava Lava, Rich Mavoko, Rommy Jones and Ben Pol.
Two months ago, Diamond announced that he had officially been handed broadcasting licence for Wasafi TV and Wasafi FM by the Minister of Information, Culture, Tourism and Sports Zanzibar and the stations are now set to hit the airwaves.
