Most girls dream about their wedding dress from childhood, but this is not the case for Eunice Njeri.
The singer, who recently got engaged to fellow gospel musician Izzo Raps, says that her ideal wedding is just having her parents around.
“I’m not a girly person. I just want a simple wedding with my family around,” the singer who is currently in the US for a tour told Heads Up.
Their pre-wedding is set for November 13 in Dallas.
Eunice and Izzo (real name Ado K Bukasa) have been dating since 2014. They got engaged in August this year. Eunice says that she knew that he would ask her to marry him but not on that day.
“We had spent the whole day with our pastor and his wife here in the US and the last thing I expected was such a romantic gesture. In fact, he was just dropping me off to a friend’s house when he went on his knees with this beautiful silver and diamond encrusted ring,” Eunice said.
The singer revealed that her wedding will be held in the US but is not sure about the dates because of visa and travel logistics for her family.
“I can’t announce the dates now until I have cleared with the embassy. I don’t want to jinx anything,” she said
When it comes to having a family, she said she only wants three children.
“If I was younger, probably I could have said eight. But for now, I just want three or whatever God blesses me with,” she added
Recently, the singer called out Telecommunication Company Safaricom over a payment log that showed amounts to the tune of Sh30 million per month, unpaid dues for her music for the past year.
She suspects malpractice that led to the unpaid dues.
She followed the post with a caption in the form of a letter addressed to Safaricom, urging the company to remember her as a singer, whose sole source of income is her music.
“I did that not only for me, but other artistes. I hope Safaricom will look into it and get back to me,” she said.
