Award-winning gospel singer, Shiru wa GP has backed out of 2016 Groove Awards.
Shiru wa GP joins Lillian Rotich who did the same in the category of raising new talents.
The singer, known for Agiginyani, made this announcement through her Facebook page.
“Good evening, on the issue of Groove Awards, I have decided to give upcoming artistes the opportunity to be nominated. So, kindly vote for the artiste of your choice. I thank the Lord for your unending support. Thanks,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, gospel artiste Bahati claims that he also did not make any submissions online and that’s why he was left out in this year’s nominations.
Bahati was refuting rumours that he had been left out alongside Willy Paul over ‘their ungodly lifestyles’.
