Activist and whistleblower John Githongo’s acts of courage will soon be documented in a feature film.
Githongo’s whistleblowing story became the basis of Michela Wrong’s 2009 book, It’s Our Turn to Eat, a year after Githongo had returned home.
Restless Global Studios are now working on an adaptation of Wrong’s, It’s Our Turn to Eat into a feature film titled, State of Betrayal.
Githongo exposed the Anglo Leasing scandal during former president Mwai Kibaki’s regime, when he was PS, Ethics and Governance.
He later went into exile in the UK to escape alleged assassination threats.
