American- Trinidad born rapper Trinidad James has launched a campaign to raise $ 147,000 (Sh15 million) for Garissa University College terror attack survivors.
Through a video posted on Facebook, he urged people across the United States to donate what they can for the campaign. The musician also said he will stage a free concert in Kenya to raise more money on top of the Sh15 million to be disbursed to families of the victims.
“I wanna be able to present a cheque at the end of the show for $ 147,000 to those families and see that smile on everyone’s face in the crowd and to let Africa, not just Kenya, but especially those families, know that we care. I want to let the families know that we care.
147 is not just a number, that’s insane, these were people, daughters, sons, mothers, and parents. I ask the world to care and be aware,” he said.
