Former Miss Kenya and anti-jigger ambassador, Cecilia Mwangi, recently buried her mother in their farm in Ngong’.
However, judging from the burial photos, the showbiz industry was not as represented as would have been expected.
Speaking to Heads Up, Cecilia defended her counterparts saying that although some of them did not make it for the burial, they still supported her.
“I cannot say that the showbiz industry dropped me when I needed them the most, but everything happened too fast and some did not even get the information. She was also buried on the Valentine’s Day weekend, which is very busy for most showbiz personalities,” Cecilia told Heads Up.
On the brighter side, the Ahadi Trust associate claims that she got overwhelming support from the Miss World fraternity, The First Lady’s office and fans from the diaspora.
Cecilia’s mother was found dead in her farmhouse in Kitale after missing for three days.
Some of the suspects have already been arrested and charged in court, but the shamba boy is still at large. “He is still within the area, but the police have been unable to nab him. I think he has informers who keep alerting him. I’m told that he changes clothes and hiding spots as many times as possible,” Cecilia said.
