A handsome but broke man is just useless

Other than what women argue is a natural reproductive bias of creation that makes them the party to bear the strain of carrying babies and birthing them for the sake of the continuity of a whole species, there is little else to complain about.

Men apparently bear the brunt of the rest of what nature demands from life.

As sole providers previously, they had to wake up in the wee hours of the morning and only return at dusk to ensure the family was fed and all other provisions of his brood met.

Men of the agrarian time up until the years of our fathers braved the wild terrains hunting wild animals to bring home meat. Frequently a number of them returned home with injuries that ate them away to death caused by either stray aims at targets, dangerous falls or even an animal that charged at them while trying to escape death. But men were trained to come home and appreciate their wives because they fetched water from the river, bathed and fed the children.

Today, the more things change the more they remain the same, despite the changing patterns of advantages now spread across equally between men and women. Nothing has changed actually. Men are still who they ought to be and the demands on their shoulders are yet to be lessened because even now provision is what defines a man's manliness.

Women, on the other hand, despite the clamour for equality, still draw the very advantages conferred to them by nature. It is argued that women are born with their value while men must work to earn their value. Being beautiful alone is an asset enough to entitle a lady to a good life. We hear men of top cadre classification in what would be considered wealth opt for empty blonds whose only value is beauty. A doctor or engineer trained for more than six gruelling years of sleepless nights at the university graduates to a good life with a home in a suburb of choice in the city, only to marry the salonist down the street because her skin is well bleached and she drags a substantial posterior behind her. If her hips are wide enough and she is blessed with a pretty smile that warms his heart she stands qualified to join him in the comfort he has struggled for years to achieve. The same cannot be said of a man even if he were the most handsome.

Valueless

BTS's leader RM, was crowned the most handsome face in 2022. His announcement by multiple media outlets stirred a global party among his fans, mostly female, who research indicates, appreciated the fact that his stakes were rising more than his pretty face. If a man is handsome and broke, he is valueless and useless as a man.

At best, if he also brings excellent results in bed, he can be qualified as a gigolo and only used by women to travel to cloud nine occasionally but the said women would never take him home to be a husband simply because he cannot provide for their comfort and that of their children. On the other hand, females who are only socialites like our own Vera Sidika make news solely for their sizable behinds. That alone earns them company of top cadre men. If these men do not take their pretty faces and ample bottoms home to install them as wives, they compensate for it by investing heavily in them to guarantee their success in exchange for time spent with them illicitly.

Such is the bias of nature and the reason men do not have to be handsome.
