Celebrated American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete is over the moon as she looks forward to her graduation from college.

The elated 26-year-old Savage rapper has announced the good news on her social media handles, noting that she will release professional photos to mark the event.

“2021 finna graduate from college. Taking my graduation pics today. I cannot wait for ya’ll to see,” Megan wrote on Instagram and Twitter earlier this week.

The post included a photo of a bedazzled graduation cap, marked “real hot girl sh**” after the popular phrase from her award-winning 2019 track Hot Girl Summer, in which she featured rap star Nicki Minaj and singer TY Dolla Sign.

“Go Meg, I am so proud of you!” RnB superstar Ciara commented on Megan’s post.

“Yessss! Proud is an understatement,” singer Normani wrote.

“So proud of you babygirl,” wrote celebrated actress Taraji Henson.

And the congratulatory messages from her famous friends did not stop coming - well wishes came from rapper and producer Juicy J, Lil nas X and other notable media personalities.

The rapper is set to graduate from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration.

Last year, Megan said she was determined to stay in school and pursue her higher studies in order to make her late mother proud.

“I want to get my degree because I really want my mum to be proud. She saw me going to school before she passed,” Megan told People magazine in 2020.

Her mother, Holly Thomas passed away in March 2019 after battling brain cancer.

The rapper suffered two tragic losses that same year, having also lost her grandmother shortly after her mother’s passing. Her father died when she was just a teenager.

Speaking about her post-graduation plans, the rapper said she was keen to help her TSU classmates as well as serve the community.

“I really wanted to be an administrator at a hospital, but I knew I still wanted to be Megan Thee Stallion. I was like, 'What can I do? You know what, I am gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money I make from rapping to open it. Then I am gonna let my classmates run it,’ ” Megan said in the 2020 interview.

The rapper has also been open about her plans to throw a major celebration for her graduation.

"I cannot wait. I am going to have the biggest graduation party. You fought through the procrastination. You fought through crazy professors. You made it home the next day from the party and still went to class. You know what I am saying?" she told Harpers Bazaar last year.
