As the polls opened on Tuesday, Joe Germanotta gave some simple words of encouragement to his Twitter followers as he posted: "@realDonaldTrump 2020."

After the endorsement raised eyebrows among some Gaga fans, Joe returned to the social media site hours later to explain. "You may have noticed my political and spiritual beliefs are different. liberty and freedom of choice would not be political," he claimed. Joe's comments came after Trump criticised Gaga - real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - after she has been vocal in urging fans to vote Joe Biden into the White House.

"Now he's got Lady Gaga" Trump, 74, quipped at a rally in Avoca, Pennsylvania, of his opponent Biden, 77. Lady Gaga - is not too good. I could tell you plenty of stories. I could tell you stories about Lady Gaga. I know a lot of stories about Lady Gaga," he teased.
