Footballer Megan Rapinoe is engaged to her long-term girlfriend. Seattle Storm basketball player Sue Bird shared the happy news to her Instagram page, showing Megan on one knee poolside. While Sue, 40, faces away from the camera, football ace Megan, 35, wears a big grin as she slips the ring onto her new fiancée's finger. Sue left the image to do the talking, not including a caption.

Megan is best known for leading the US Women's Football team to victory in last year's World Cup, while Sue is renowned on the court, picking up her fourth WNBA title earlier in 2020. They first became an item back in 2016, and have been dating since. The announcement overjoyed fans, who flooded the comments section with kind words and messages of congratulations.
