Nollywood star Genevieve Nnaji unveiled as Toronto Film Festival ambassador

Months after award-winning Nollywood actress, producer and director Genevieve Nnaji was invited to be a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the star has been selected as one of this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) ambassadors.

The 2005 Africa Movie Academy Award winner for Best Actress in a Leading Role whose film Lionheart was disqualified as a submission for Best International Feature Film submission for the Oscars in 2019 will join other 49 acclaimed filmmakers for the festival scheduled to kick off on September 10, 2020.
