Siaya County First Lady has no intentions of having her name scrapped off the county’s payroll.
The revelation comes after some county officials demanded to know why Rosella Rasanga, the wife of Governor Cornel Rasanga, was on the county’s payroll.
Speaking about the issue, Rosella, who is the County Information Officer, said: “I have responded to those queries as County Information Officer and First Lady in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility. In the course of serving the government, I have not misused funds or diverted equipment to personal use or my husband’s office,” she said during a phone interview.
Director of Administration in the Ministry of Information Naftaly Mun’gathia says that when the posting was advertised, there were no indications that Rosella was the First Lady and as it were, she cannot divorce her husband.
“We are however assessing whether it has affected her performance. The matter is before Cabinet Secretary Fred Matian’gi,” he said.
