Wives are willing to kill their husbands for wealth

On Monday, Monica Kalondu Wambua was jointly charged with Papias Karinga Mureithi for allegedly planning to kill Eric Njiiri Murigu in what is believed to be a fight over property ownership. This came barely a few days after another woman, Ms. Bilha Njoki, an estranged wife of a Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) employee was also arrested together with her relatives for conspiring to kill her former husband after police laid a trap. This is just two examples of the recent cases that have seen women plotting to kill their husbands and others who have murdered their spouses, with most ending in courts.

In 2013 June, the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi was given a chilling narration of a plot by Faith Wairimu Maina who hired hit men to kill her husband of 15 years. Investigating officers told the court how Wairimu gave the hit men a Sh40, 000 down payments and demanded the blood-stained clothes of her husband as proof of his death before clearing the Sh160, 000 balances. In the same year, Janet Karamana Gituma was sentenced with five others to 30 years in prison for killing her husband.

In November of 2015, Rose Adhiambo Raminya and her house help, Doris Akinyi, were arraigned in a Mombasa court for allegedly hiring hit men to kill Polycarp Okumu alias Kamili at Beach Road estate in Mombasa over property worth millions of shillings. The court heard that the two and their accomplices conspired to kill Okumu on diverse dates between October 20th and 26th.

Back in 2008, Nisha Sapra, a pharmacist, was charged before a Nairobi court for allegedly killing her husband, Yogesh Madan Sapra, who was the director of Maya Duty Free Shop at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Sapra died as a result of injuries inflicted using a knife. The court heard that a farewell party was organized at Sapra’s residence for one of their relatives who was travelling abroad. Their son testified then that he saw his dad hit Nisha when she grabbed a knife and stabbed him.

In all this incidences plus many more, the agenda has always been driven by the yearn to inherit their husbands millions. Some claim that their rich husbands never share with them this millions where as others are persuaded into this by friends and relatives who wish to reap it big without sweating. This has put the lives of rich guys on line for they are never too sure of what is being plan behind the curtains.

With all this cases, I guess its high time men are allowed not to fully disclose their wealth just in case one is possessed with evil and start planning on how to kill them.
