This husband told paranoid wife he was CHEATING to stop her tormenting him

UK: A desperate man told his wife of 25 years he had been cheating on her in a bid to stop her from nagging him.

Jeremy Kyle guest John had been married to wife Jane for 23 years when he drunkenly slept with a friend after an argument.

The dad owned up to the betrayal at once.

But the infidelity left Jane paranoid and suspicious of her husband.

"She has banned me from all technology," he told Jezza. "I have a phone for incoming calls but I'm not allowed to contact anyone. I'm not allowed Facebook.

"She just kept asking and asking me if I'd been faithful. It got too much."

So one day when Jane questioned John as to whether he was having an affair, he just said: "yes."

While this was probably not a very sensible move considering it was totally untrue.

Understandably, Jane was mortified and took off her wedding ring and phoned the Jeremy Kyle Show.

"I can't take anymore lies," she told the host. "If he doesn't pass that's it. I can't cope with being lied to."

Jeremy then reveals the results of the lie detector test, proving that John hadn't cheated.

The host then tells John he's "a doughnut" for pretending to have had an affair, and the pair exit the stage hand-in-hand.

We do love a happy ending.
