A cheeky schoolboy's letter to his teacher after he was told off in class has gone viral

The 13-year-old pupil from Aberdeen, who cannot be named, penned the note after he faced the ire of his tutor for speaking to a friend in class.

The furious handwritten note says the teen is "not sorry" for speaking to his pal for a "few seconds" during a language class at Oldmachar Academy.

He also writes, "I do not like German" and ends the letter with, "I'll just tell you I had chips for lunch yesterday".

A snap of the defiant letter was uploaded to social media by the boy's brother, and was retweeted over a thousand times in 12 hours on Twitter.

The picture was uploaded with the caption "My brother had to write an apology [to his teacher]. Look what he's put down."

The full note reads: "I turned around and talked to [his friend] for a few seconds. I was not talking constantly. Also, everyone else was talking too and I got this work for speaking to [his friend] for a second.

"I don't think it's fair and I'm not sorry. I already done the work. I do not enjoy German.

"I need to write to that line down there but I have nothing else to say for myself so I'll just tell you I had chips for lunch yesterday."

The cheeky chap's father said: "He does hate German. I had no idea that he had written this letter and this is all news to me. I don't know if he would have had the guts to hand it in."

Twitter users found the letter hilarious and so far it has received over 2,000 favourites on the social network.

One user wrote: "At least Mrs [teacher's name] knows what he had for lunch. That's something anyway."

Another added: "This is sensational."

Someone else wrote: "That's brilliant."

There was no one available at the school for comment.

The news comes after a string of letters from kids went viral in recent times, including one which read: "Thank you mum for making me food so I don't die."
