Police forced to use teargas to flush out couples caught making love in pub toilet

Durham, UK:  Lee Hops, 30, and Hayley McClory, 23, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court, County Durham, over the incident at the Stanley Jefferson pub, Bishop Auckland.

Hops is charged with a section 4 public order offence and resisting arrest.

McClory is charged with a section 4 public order offence, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

Both defendants deny the charges, but McClory did admit a charge of criminal damage relating to a police blanket.

Chairman of the bench Kevin Radford granted them unconditional bail and said they would return for a trial at the court in June.

The case comes after footage was revealed earlier this week of a different couple having sex on a subway escalator.

A passer by filmed the x-rated scene, which showed a woman bent over the side of the escalator completely oblivious to the people coming and going.

The couple continue romping before being stopped by a member of the public who kicks the man in a bid to stop the public indecency.

The shocking footage then shows the woman turning round - to reveal a child strapped to her front.

The alarming footage has gone viral on the internet.
