Governor Ngilu, top officers ordered to appear in court for failing to pay studying doctors

Kitui governor Charity Ngilu and some of her top officers have been summoned to appear before the Employment and Labour Relations court to show cause why they should not be punished for failing to pay 20 doctors who are on study leave.

Justice Monica Mbaru ordered the governor, the county health executive officer Winnie Kitetu and her chief officer as well as the secretary to the public service board to appear personally before the court on October 14, 2021.
