Trader loses property worth millions as locals set his homestead, business empire ablaze

A vehicle belonging to a trader Mubambi Kamwilu goes into flames after it was set ablaze by irate residents at Mwigaanda area of Mikunduri ward in Tigania East. Kamwilu was arrested after police recovered eight motorbikes and 19 motobike engines that have been stonel from the area. . Following the recovery of the bikes and engines who’s some of the owners had been murdered at Mikinduri market, irate residents invaded and burnt the shops, home and a vehicle owned by the trader.Peter Muthomi, Standard

A trader lost property worth millions of shillings when residents torched his business over the weekend.

The businessman and his family escaped death as police whisked them away from the mob, which accused him of engaging in illegal business.
