Why parliament proceedings are likely to be affected

The concluded party nominations are likely to affect Parliament proceedings according to Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma.

The party primaries that were marred by violence in some parts of the country as a result of purported rigging led to some incumbents losing their party tickets to contest in the August general elections.

Speaking in an interview this morning, Hon Kaluma weighed the effect of the nominations. "Members who lost in the nominations are still to recover from trauma as they consider options heading into the General Election", he said.

This is according to the Kaluma might create quorum hitches if a majority of the members of parliament will continue with their absenteeism.
