Let political parties help grow our democracy

With less than five months to the August polls, many aspiring politicians have expressed dissatisfaction over the manner in which their political parties plan to conduct party primaries. According to the Independent, Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), all political parties are required to conduct nominations next month.

However, due to vested interests, a political storm seems to be brewing in many parties over nomination procedures. As we speak, many parties have experienced steady hemorrhage of disgruntled aspirants.
